Bench heating for churches

Warmth from copper, warmth for ages

Bench heating
for churches

A timeless, unobtrusive heating solution for your church

Why FOXIS heating?

  • The FOXIS exchanger transfers heat turbulently, in a far more efficient way
  • Heat only where you need it – it stays in the pew area
  • It warms the whole body – legs and hands, seated or kneeling
  • Simple temperature control – economical operation
  • Because more heat stays in the pew area, it doesn't affect the rest of the church's climate and is gentle on heritage buildings

The principle of turbulent heating

Around the heated wire structure the warmed air spins and swirls. These swirling turbulences transfer heat 7× more efficiently than heat radiated from a radiator. At the same time, the swirling warm air doesn't rise as quickly into the vault.

The heart of a smart solution: the braided copper FOXIS exchanger

How does FOXIS heating improve comfort in your church?

  • Discreet, yet highly effective
Installed under the pew, it doesn't disturb the church interior
  • Heat stays in the pew area
It doesn't escape into the ceiling or down into the floor
  • Proven technology
Developed and tested in cooperation with VUT Brno
  • Easy installation and maintenance
    Made to fit your pews
  • Long service life
The copper exchanger lasts for decades
  • To suit your preferences
    Electric and hot-water variants
  • Can be installed pew by pew
    Spread out the initial investment

Comparison of common pew-heating methods

  • Radiant heating rod
Part of the heat escapes upward; the effect isn't ideal
  • Radiant panel below
Heats the floor first, and the air is warmed from it
  • Radiant panel in the backrest
Warms only the front of the body
  • Heated cushion
    Warms only where you sit
FOXIS – Turbulent airflow keeps heat in the pew area and warms the whole body

FOXIS compared to other ways of heating a church

  • Radiators and convectors
They heat the whole space, but the pews stay cold
  • Direct electric and space heaters
Heat collects under the ceiling; the pews stay cold
  • Infrared heaters
They heat only part of the surface: “head warm, feet cold”
  • Underfloor heating
Requires building work and makes sense only for permanent heating
